Jazz Cellars
Jazz Cellars has been to UNWINED before and we loved their wines. They have recently wone a Double Gold medal for their 2006 Eaglepoint Ranch Petite Sirah and Silver Medal for thei 2008 Caties Corner Viognier in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Both owners/winemakers Bob Smith and Joe Lazzara will be at UNWINED serving these wines plus their 2008 Doctors Vineyard Pinot Noir and 2007 Sonoma Zinfandel. Come taste these wines for only $20 ($15 for wine club members).

Highlands Winery
Highlands produces premium wines from Howell Mountain in Napa. These ultra high quality wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, are crafted in the Bordeaux tradition. The results are wines which drink very well upon release and continue to improved for many years. They will be bringing their Napa Cab, Zinfandel and Syrah for our tasting. $25 ($20 for wine club members).

Italian Wine and Food Pairing
Chef Michael Barone, owner of the Mangiamo Catering Co. and the guy who supplies us with our Lasagna, spent several years in Rome working at Italian restaurants honing his culinary skills. He will bring these skills to bear at this special pairing event, preparing a 4 course tasting menu. We will pair each dish with a special Italian wine and talk about each course and wine as we serve them as well as discuss why they pair well together. Silver Oak is releasing their new 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Steve Ferree just wrote an article on this great wine. They will also be bringing along their Alexander Valley Cab and more.
